- Come out and see some of the best amateur baseball in the state of Minnesota in a beautiful setting at Delano Municipal Baseball Park! Even if you don’t have a connection to a team, it’s a fun atmosphere watching the small town support and enthusiasm that many of these towns bring to the tourney! - The St. Paul Saints are coming to Delano Municipal Baseball Park on Saturday, May 11th, to play a 2 p.m. game. The Saints will face off against the North Star League All Stars. A collection of town team players from around the area, including Delano's Andy Brown, Kevin Jaunich, Joey Althoff, and Jeff Althoff. View full roster here. There will be a pregame Home Run Derby along with fun between inning entertainment associated with the Saints! All proceeds will go directly back into ongoing Delano ballpark improvements. Advanced tickets are $7.00 and $8.00 at the gate. Checks should be made out to the Delano Athletic Club. Tickets are available at Delano City Hall, the State Bank of Delano, Crow River Bank, Coborn's, All Seasons Sports, Jaunich Tire, and from any Delano Athletic Club member. Or you can contact Joe Schleper or Andy Brown to pick up tickets at school.
- Tyler Heinonen, F, Chicago Steel: The Delano, MN native tallied eight points (4g, 4a) over three games played during the week. On Wednesday, he dished out an assist in the Steel’s 5-3 win over the Indiana Ice. He scored a pair of goals, one on the power play and one shorthanded, in the 4-3 win over the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Friday..
